The Rise of Right Wing Religion in the US Comment by Larry Ross, November 14, 2006
This review of 'WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE was on an Amazon list of books and films offered for sale. It was one of the 3 million articles available from a Google search of 'MORGAN REYNOLDS'. Morgan worked most of his life in Washington and occupied many government positions. He is also professor emeritus of Texas University . He has researched and written extensively on 9/11 questions. I think most people would judge it very worthwhile if they Googled 'MORGAN REYNOLDS' and read some of his work. The power and ascendancy of the Fundamentalist Right, documented in the book reviewed below, will be of interest to those wishing to preserve our religious freedoms.

WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE FAHRENHEIT 9/11 to the "Christian" Right Reviewed by mr. snrub (Out there in La La Land) - January 19, 2006 WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE is as invaluable a documentary as FAHRENHEIT 9/11 or BUSH FAMILY FORTUNES: THE BEST DEMOCRACY MONEY CAN BUY. Those movie's target the way money and power dominate the Bush administartion's policies, and the policies of Republicans in general. WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE, by contrast, targets another trademark of Conservatives/Republicans: Their hijacking of Christianity and their bastardizing the teachings of Jesus into a poor reflection of what they once were. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whether you're on the side of the Christian right or suspicious of it, this film successfully gives nothing more than the facts about the conservative/fundamentalist's political agenda and its influence on the U.S. political scene over the last several decades. It never resorts to taking a stand. Those on the right will find nothing to disdain, and those on the opposite side will perhaps be more informed about what they fear. The movie gives the entire scenario, much of which I've either forgotten, or perhaps never was aware of, regarding the Rev. Billy Graham's unfortunate support of Nixon, President Reagen's Supreme Court nomination of Sandra Day O'Connor and her "disappointing" track record (to those on the right), the presidential bid of Pat Robertson and his scarey jump start in the early primaries, and how conservatives feel that George W. is finally, definitely their man. All very interesting and informative...
