Comment by Larry Ross |
January 20 , 2007 |
| The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists has moved the hands of the Doomsday Clock two minutes closer to midnight - to 11.55 I believe it should be closer. In their stated reasons the BAS did not mention that the Bush Administration now allows for nuclear weapons to be introduced into a conventional conflict on the recommendation of US field military commanders. Also, it does not mention that President Bush has the legal authority to wage a pre-emptive nuclear war on enemies chosen by his administration on the basis of so-called US 'intelligence' about the alleged intentions of such chosen enemies. | ||

| Help Stop War On Iran |
Comment by Larry Ross |
January 15, 2007 |
| The "Stop War On Iran" organisation has summarised the Iran crisis below, and that Iran has no nuclear weapons, or program to build them, and has never initiated a war on any other state for the last 250 years. Therefore to portray it as a dire threat, because it is exercising it's legal right under the NPT to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes, is utter nonsense, and a cover for the planned US and Israeli attacks. It is even more ominous that the EU and UN have succumbed to US pressures and issued sanctions and warnings to Iran to give up it's nuclear enrichment program or else! | ||
|
This situation is particularly ridiculous, when you know there are nine other nuclear weapon states, including Israel, which has some 200-400 nuclear weapons, and has a record of initiating wars and military attacks. The Iran crisis is a re-enactment of the pre-war Iraq crisis - using the same type of lies and false and twisted accusations as the US used before their illegal assault and occupation of Iraq, killing 655,000 Iraqis, and now a 'surge', or escalation, in their continuing massacre. How can Iran be a threat to the US, Israel or their allies, when they have many thousands of nuclear weapons and Iran has none? |

Does anybody believe there is a crime the Bush regime would not commit? After all those lies to get the US public to support the illegal war against Iraq, and murdering 655,000 people, setting up false imprisonment and torture prisons in many different countries, spying on Americans, and others, I don't believe there is any crime the Bush regime would not commit. They have sneered at the soul of America, stole it, and jumped on it, as the following article illustrates. |

| Profits and Corruption Drive Iraq War |
Comment by Larry Ross |
January 15, 2007 |

This paper provides new insights into why the US will not withdraw troops from Iraq. It is the new imperialism and colonialism and exploiting Iraqi oil that provides enormous profits to the 100,000 private military contractors in Baghdad , and provides billions in profits for the military-industrial complex in the US . Money is the great motivator, with no-bid contracts for chosen Pentagon suppliers. Greater war risks, the slaughter or hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, morality and ethics don't matter to people participating in a gigantic profits feeding frenzy in Baghdad and Washington. |

Neither the Iraq Study Group nor other establishment critics of the Iraq war are calling for the withdrawal of US troops from that country. To the extent that the Study Group or the new Congress purport to inject some "realism" into the Iraq policy, such projected modifications do not seem to amount to more than changing the drivers of the US war machine without changing its destination, or objectives: control of Iraq's political and economic policies. |

Israel has been given the job of attacking Iran with nuclear weapons because the mid-term elections ruled out the US doing what they had been planning to do for the last 2 years, according to this article by Michael Carmichael. Israel is the sacred cow of US politics that few dare criticize. Israel can invoke fears of another holocaust in order to gain public sympathy and dampen down criticism if they use nuclear weapons. |

The new year began on the hopeful note that Bush's illegal war in Iraq would soon be ended. The repudiation of Bush and the Republicans in the November congressional election, the Iraq Study Group's unanimous conclusion that the US needs to remove its troops from the sectarian strife Bush set in motion by invading Iraq, Donald Rumsfeld's removal as defense secretary and his replacement by Iraqi Study Group member Robert Gates, the thumbs down given by America's top military commanders to the neoconservatives' plan to send more US troops to Iraq, and new polls of the US military that reveal that only a minority supports Bush's Iraq policy, thus giving new meaning to “support the troops,” are all indications that Americans have shed the stupor that has given carte blanche to George W. Bush. |

| Damning Testimony of Cooked Intelligence |
Comment by Larry Ross |
December 23, 2006 |
|
This article by David Corn, editor of The Nation, reveals additional important testimony that Bush and Blair cooked and altered intelligence in order to justify an illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq - an independent, sovereign state. Whereas they made much of the fact that Sad Hussein was a murdering despot and needed to be deposed so that they could introduce 'freedom and democracy' in Iraq, this was just a joke. |

The crime of a war of aggression is listed in Article 5.1 of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court (RSICC) as one of the four most serious crimes of concern to the international community, and that it falls within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC). It was addressed earlier by the International Military Tribunal at Nuremberg following World War II , which called the waging of aggressive war "essentially an evil thing...to initiate a war of aggression...is not only an international crime; it is the supreme international crime differing only from other war crimes in that it contains within itself the accumulated evil of the whole." |

Comment by Larry Ross |
December 15, 2006 |

My belief is that the only way to stop a possible Bush plan of this type is to educate Americans about 'False Flag' usage in the past, and that Bush may use such a technique to fool Americans into supporting a nuclear war on Iran . I really don't see how else he can get away with doing it, and convincing allies and the rest of the world that he did the right thing. Unless pre-warned about this possibility, even the Japanese might go along with a believable 'False Flag' blamed on Iran to justify the US use of nuclear weapons in retaliation. |

Comment by Larry Ross |
November 29, 2006 |

Here is another piece of the 9/11 puzzle. That Pakistan Intelligence financed the 9/11 hijackers. That the newly appointed head of the CIA Porter Goss, knew this and had close links with Pakistan intelligence. If 9/11 was a Bush Administration 'inside job', Porter Goss must have been privy to, or part, of that operation. No wonder Bush appointed him to head the CIA with overall control of a budget of 40 billion dollars for intelligence operations? For those who have studied 9/11 and concluded it must have been a Bush Administration conspiracy, the attached article by Prof. Chossudovsky makes sense and is an important part of the conspiracy. |

Although the following article was written 3 years ago, its message is still powerful and relevant today. Most people passively tolerate the systematic poisoning of people, their lands and the world. However DU poisoning lasts for eternity. It drifts around the planet, killing, deforming and genetically damaging everyone's children and descendants forever, whether in Washington, New York or Kabul. Psychopaths in the Pentagon deny, deny, deny and then smirk like George Bush. They are doing their professional duty. People accept that and forget. | Attack on Iranian nuclear facilities? |
Comment by Larry Ross |
November 21, 2006 |
|
The article also claims Iran wants the U.S. to make a limited attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, as this would allegedly boost Iranian prestige in the Middle East. I don't agree with this hypothesis or that the U.S. attack would be, or remain, limited. I think the U.S. wants regime change and will make a massive attack on Iran, it's population and infrastructure - much like what it has done in Iraq, only worse. I think it's real objective is a much wider war, against the Islamic world in general. Ultimately it's objective is to dominate the Middle East, particularly oil. Like the views expressed in many other articles, I think the Bush Administration plans to use nuclear weapons on Iran, and that the conflict will escalate into a terminal global disaster. |

There they are subjected to torture until they confess. These so-called confessions are usually worthless, because they are made to stop the torture. As the following article points out, the majority of victims are unaccounted for. They are believed to have been either murdered or disappeared. The Bush regime may extend and increase this practice, especially if it starts a new war on Iran. New legislation may allow Bush to apply this practice to domestic U.S. dissenters and critics of the Bush regime. At the moment the American political system and the people, seem unable to rid America of the terrorist monsters in the White House. |

More than 7,000 prisoners have been captured in America's war on terror. Just 700 ended up in Guantanamo Bay. Between extraordinary rendition to foreign jails and disappearance into the CIA's "black sites", what happened to the rest? |

....The U.S. Democrats who have just won in Congress and the Senate are unlikely to stop this war as they are deeply involved in approving the Iraq war, and either repeating or not questioning Bush lies to justify it. They are doing the same thing about the new U.S. enemy - Iran . They have also approved Bush's new nuclear doctrines, his patriot laws, his preparations for the Iran war and given him virtually unlimited power. The Democrats have proved themselves to be a weak, lily-livered and wishy-washy opposition party unwilling and unable to speak the truth about the Bush Administration and the illegal wars. There are a few exceptional and honest Democratic politicians who oppose U.S. war policies, but not enough to make much difference. |

In mid 1970s the American Power Elite drew a “Grand Plan” to control and to monopolize global oil and nuclear energy resources, for he who controls energy resources determines the fate of nations. The base of this “Grand Plan” is the invasion of energy rich countries to directly control their resources, and to create subservient governments that would exploit their own people as cheap labor to harvest energy for the United States. |

My Lai , Vietnam , 1968. Haditha , Iraq , 2005. Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush hate it when anyone mentions these two events — these two war crimes — in the same breath. All the more reason to examine them closely, to see that they have the same basis that they spell out the same lesson. |

The U.S. has gone to considerable lengths to set up a situation in the UN where it can claim UN approval to legally use nuclear weapons against Iran. | ||
