Support City-wide Outreach mobilization this weekend for Feb 17 - No More $$$ for War Day

Born in Yonkers N.Y. in 1927, I've been campaigning against war since Hiroshima in 1945. I moved to New Zealand and founded the New Zealand Nuclear Free Peacemaking Association which helped make New Zealand nuclear free in 1987. The Pentagon was very angry about losing one of their nuclear base countries.

I'm with you 100% against Bush's illegal war on Iraq launched in 2003 on a neocon litany of lies.

So please consider my proposal to include a sentence or two in your promotion that Bush is using the same type of lies to prepare the American people for a war on Iran . Therefore your protest and talks about "Surge Escalation in Iraq " and cutting off funds, should also be aimed at stopping Bush from launching a new war, probably nuclear, against Iran . In fact 'Surge in Iraq ' is part of the neocon war plan for Iran .

Given people's lack of knowledge and factual information about Iran , and Bush's lies and accusations about Iran supported by the mass media, a majority of the public is conditioned to hate and fear Iran . They are prepared and will believe whatever justifications Bush offers them if he launches a preemptive strike on Iran.

If the Bush regime first stages a "False Flag" operation to blame Iran for an alleged terrorist attack, they are likely to believe that, because most people don't know about "False Flag' operations and how such evil tactics have been used in the past by leaders to enflame previously reluctant populations. As long as the public remains ignorant about this possibility, they are sitting ducks for it to be used on them. If people want to know more about false flags they can do a Google search of "False Flag Operations" Or just have a look at the False Flag category on our website below.

By focusing only on the terrible Iraq quagmire, Bush is able to exploit and use the people's ignorance, hate and fear of Iran in order to launch a new war.

CUT OFF ALL WAR FUNDS DAY

New York City - Boston - Detroit - Philadelphia -Los Angeles - Raleigh - Atlanta - Across the U.S.

February 17 is "No More $$ for War Day."  In dozens of cities across the country, tens of thousands will take to the streets to demand that Congress cut off all war funding now.  Local organizers are planning marches, pickets, rallies, sit-ins, and other forms of protest and resistance.

In New York City, we will rally on Feb. 17 in Times Square at 1 pm and then march to the offices of Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Chuck Schumer , two Senators who not only voted for the war, but continue to support the war.

What we do over the next few days is crucial.  The Troops Out Now Coalition is organizing outreach teams to go to schools, community centers, subways, parks, and throughout the five boroughs to get out thousands of leaflets, posters, and stickers.

We need your help.    Now, more than ever, it is clear that politicians --of either major party - will not end the war.  We must do it by mobilizing a massive grassroots movement of opposition and resistance.
